Montreal based artist, Sebastian Demrey has been involved in the religious/christian music community for more than 20 years in both North America and Europe. His recent Hymns projects HERITAGE born of his collaboration with longtime friend and musician Jimmy Lahaie have proven to be very successful in both French and English communities worldwide, and has them travelling around the globe averaging about 100 concerts a year.
His father being the church music director, Sebastian was quickly taught rudiments at a young age, and then pursued his education in St Laurent Music school in Montreal. During the same year, he gets involved in his local church as worship leader, pianist and music director. After graduating from music school, Sebastian starts out as a producer, working alongside gospel artists and following them on world tours as music director. In 2005, after much experience both in studio and on the road, he decides to invest time in his onw music and delivers a year later Searching, his award winning album, collecting GMA Canada's Covenant Award for Album of the Year (Contemporary Pop) and Independent Music Awards (USA) and gaining #1 Cancon charts on Canadian Christian radio with his singles Hold on to me and He Put a Song in My Heart.
Wishing to connect with his roots and home audience, Sebastian records a few french projects and meets guitar player Jimmy Lahaie. Together, they give birth to the acclaimed hymns collection, HERITAGE, of which they obtained 5 Covenant awards at GMA Canada (2010-2014). The third volume of this album series was the first ever francophone album to hit #1 on ITunes Inspirational charts alongside many of top Christian Artists, and hit #60 on iTunes Canadian overall chart as well as #40 iTunes overall mainstream sales in France. Heritage Noel, their french christmas album hit #1 also on November 2014 on iTunes. The latest album Heritage Vol. 4 reached #1 spot on iTunes inspirational in Canada on the day of its release and stayed in the top 5 albums for more than a week.
Sebastian lives in Quebec, Canada with his wife and three children. He maintains his service to the church both local and international with his concerts and continues to produce albums for other Christian artists .

Installé dans la région de Montréal, Sebastian Demrey est bien intégré dans la communauté musique religieuse & chrétienne depuis plus de 20 ans, et ce autant au Canada qu'en Europe. Son projet de cantiques et Hymnes HÉRITAGE issu de sa collaboration avec le guitariste et ami de longue date Jimmy Lahaie a récolté notamment beacoup de succès et d'appréciation auprès du public francophone et anglophone à l'échelle internationale. Ensemble ils livrent plus de 100 concerts par année.
Influencé par son père qui était directeur musical de l'église, Sebastian appris les rudiments de la musique dès son jeune âge, et par la suite décida de poursuivre ses études au Collège de Musique St Laurent à Montréal. Au même moment, il s’implique davantage dans son église locale comme pianiste, directeur musical et vocal. Après ses études, il début sa carrière professionnelle comme réalisateur aux côtés d’artistes gospels tels que Maggie Blanchard et Tabitha et devient directeur musical lors de leurs tournées internationales. En 2005 après plusieurs d'années d'expérience en studio et sur la route, il amorce sa carrière solo et livre un an plus tard son premier album en anglais Searching qui lui vaudra de nombreux prix dont le Covenant Award pour Album Contemporain de l'année au GMA Canada ainsi que pour les Independent Music Awards (USA). Ses chansons ont également fait bonne figure aux palmares canadien de musique chrétienne (Cancon) dont # 1 pour les titres He Put a Song in My Heart et Hold on To Me.
Souhaitant connecter avec son public francophone aussi, Sebastian enregistre quelques albums en français et fait la rencontre du guitariste Jimmy Lahaie. Cette union musicale mènera à la naissance du projet HÉRITAGE récoltant au passage 5 Covenant Awards au GMA Canada (2010-2014). Le troisième volume fut le premier album francophone à atteindre #1 des ventes canadienne sur ITunes Inspirational au côté des meilleurs artistes internationaux, et s'est hissé également au #60 des ventes iTunes Palmarès Général et #40 sur ITunes Palmarès Général en France. L'album Héritage Noël à sa sortie en novembre 2014 a également atteint #1 des ventes au Canada. Le plus récent album Héritage Vol. 4 a atteint le #1 des palmarès iTunes au Canada dès sa sortie et est demeuré top 5 pendant une semaine.
Sebastian habite au Québec, Canada avec son épouse et ses trois enfants. Il continue de servir l’église locale et internationale par ses concerts et la production d’autres artistes chrétiens.
